Spring sowing is in full swing at the agricultural enterprises of the agrotechnological holding «Bizon»

Spring field work is in full swing at the «Zarya Dona» and «Krasnokutskoe» farms. Agricultural enterprises of the agrotechnological holding «Bizon» have already carried out the first fertilizing of winter wheat seedlings, for which about 6000 hectares are allocated.

Today, farmers perform mechanical soil preparation followed by sowing spring wheat and peas. Next in line are flax, annual and perennial grasses, chickpeas, sorghum, and sunflowers. The total area of the spring sowing campaign will exceed 5000 hectares.

For several years now, simultaneously with sowing, farms have been applying liquid mineral fertilizers, which are produced at their own mortar units. Especially for the use of promising technology that provides the necessary nutrition for plants at lower costs, the seeders were equipped with trailed containers for liquid fertilizers.
All crops are cultivated taking into account the principles of resource-saving agriculture. Powerful tractors, wide-cut tillage and seeding complexes are used in field work. High accuracy of vehicle movement is ensured by a satellite navigation system.

Sowing work at the holding’s agricultural enterprises is planned to be completed by middle of May, and crop care will be carried out until harvesting.
