Our employees donated another 22 liters of blood for medical purposes

On November 14, the agrotechnological holding company «Bizon» took part in the donor marathon «We are of the same blood», organized by the blood transfusion station of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia in Rostov-on-Don, the Rostov branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia and the socio-cultural organization «Together into the Future». During the charity event, 49 employees helped to prepare 22 liters of blood.

Volunteers donated 450 milliliters of blood for medical purposes, which, according to doctors, could be life-saving for someone at the right moment. Almost all participants in the event already had experience in donating, but there was one newcomer. A total of 60 applications were submitted for participation in the mobile donor event.

Our employees have been donating blood together for three years now. In just seven corporate donor days, we replenished the city’s blood bank by 126 liters, and the plasma bank by 11.2 liters as well.

Most of the volunteers joined the donor movement by participating in the company’s campaigns. Many of them now donate blood regularly, including on their own.

The donor marathon «We are of the same blood» is held with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. The development of blood and blood component donation is a strategic direction for Russian healthcare.
