A machine operator from the Rostov region won a prize in the All-Russian «Best in Profession» competition

From September 24 to 26 in the Tambov region hosted the federal stage of the All-Russian «Best in Profession» professional skills competition in the «Machine Operator» category. Over three days, winners of the qualifying rounds from 10 Russian regions competed for the title of best specialist in agricultural mechanization in the country, demonstrating their professional knowledge and skills in theoretical and practical exercises.

Rostov Oblast was represented in the competition finals by Andranik Khatlamadzhiyan, a machine operator with 23 years of experience from the SPK Shaumyan agricultural production cooperative in Myasnikovskiy district. On June 19, he won the regional stage, which took place on the premises of the company «Bizon» with the active participation of its technical specialists. Three months later, the best machine operator in the Don region was able to confirm his qualifications and the selection committee’s recognition of him among other participants.

First, the contestants answered questions on work procedures, mechanics, and occupational health and safety. Then they troubleshooted problems in the engine, electrical equipment, and fuel system of the tractor. The sequence of actions and the time required to solve the problem, as well as the ability to use tools, measuring instruments, and personal protective equipment, were all taken into account. The culmination was a stunt driving challenge. All tasks were designed to closely approximate real-life working conditions.

Following the results of the All-Russian competition, Vladimir Komarov, a representative of the Tambov area, was declared the winner. Our machine operator, Andranik Khatlamadzhiyan, took second place (a prize of 500,000 rubles). He confidently passed the theoretical and practical tests, demonstrating precise control of the equipment during maneuvers and the ability to quickly complete production tasks. The awards ceremony for the 2025 winners will be held in December in Moscow.
