Focus on land reclamation: helping expand irrigated land

Agricultural producers in the North Caucasus continue to expand their irrigated land. The company «Bizon» is also making a significant contribution to the development of land reclamation in the region. In 2025 alone, the Stavropolskoye irrigation department will implement four large-scale projects on farms in Stavropol region and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

The southern agricultural regions of Russia are characterized by an arid steppe climate, windy weather, and sandy soils. Every year, forecasters record a decrease in precipitation and an increase in average air temperatures. Under these conditions, the development of irrigation systems is becoming increasingly important.

To reduce the impact of weather and climate conditions on agricultural production and significantly improve soil fertility and crop yields, our specialists delivered 26 irrigation systems to agricultural enterprises in the North Caucasus Federal District this year: 12 linear and 14 pivot irrigation systems. Thanks to these systems, the irrigated area of these farms will increase by more than 2,000 hectares.

In total, «Bizon» has sold 430 irrigation systems to crop and vegetable growing enterprises across the country. The total area covered is approximately 30,000 hectares.
