Another exhibit at the «Bizon» Agricultural Equipment Museum has reached its 100-th anniversary. This year marks the centennial of our Dodge Brothers service truck. This pickup truck was manufactured in Detroit in 1926.

According to automotive historians, this model could lay claim to being the world’s first ute-style vehicle (short for «utility»)-a colloquial term for trucks based on passenger cars designed for work duties.

This light commercial vehicle, a two-door coupe with an open cargo bed, is powered by a 3500 cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 35 HP. It has a three-speed transmission and mechanical brakes. The pickup is capable of reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h.

Incidentally, in 2025, our Richard Garrett & Sons steam engine, manufactured in Leiston, Suffolk, in 1910, celebrated its 115-th anniversary.

Today, the «Bizon» museum collection includes 29 tractors, two steam engines, a threshing machine, tillage, seeding, and fertilizing equipment, as well as 12 vehicles, repair equipment, tools, and farming utensils. Despite their considerable age, all exhibits are in pristine condition and in working order.
