The «Bizon» Components and Units Repair Shop has completed the overhaul of its 500-th engine

Specialists at the «Bizon» Components and Units Repair Shop have completed the overhaul of the 500-th engine.

The D-260.4 (MMZ) diesel engine from a Belarus tractor arrived to our technicians in a severely worn condition, with its service life completely exhausted. During the overhaul of the power unit, the cylinder block, crankshaft, fuel injection system, and many other components were upgraded and refurbished. A total of 75 parts were replaced.

After careful assembly, the engine underwent a four-hour hot run-in. During bench testing, its operating parameters were verified and adjustments were made to factory specifications. The 500th engine to undergo the overhaul was delivered to an agricultural enterprise in the Zimovnikovsky District of the Rostov Region.

The Components and Units Repair Shop has been operating at our company since May 2019. Today, it employs seven people. The shop’s capacity is eight engines per month. Engine technicians restore the performance of power units in agricultural machinery and trucks. Depending on the severity of the failure and overall wear, repairing one engine takes up to two weeks. In addition to engines, the shop’s specialists perform gearbox overhauls, balance chopper drums, and restore other agricultural machinery components.
