Bison which name Multik began the second year

More than a year, the company Bizon has been helping the Rostov Zoo to provide the necessary diet for the bison Multik. Young bison get hay, vegetables and fruits, which are needed for the full growth of the animal.

Multik was born in the autumn of 2020. His parents were a female Mulatka and a male Muzhichok. They came to the zoo from the Prioksko-Terrasny State Nature Reserve. The name of the bison was chosen by the whole city. The main condition is that it must begin with the syllable «Mu». This is a requirement of the European stud book for bison of the Caucasian-Belovezhskaya line.

The boy grew up very frisky and active, he especially liked to chase birds. Now Multik lives with his parents. Later he will be transferred to a separate enclosure, as at the age of over a year the males leave the herd and form male groups.

The company Bizon also takes care of all bisons kept in the Rostov Zoo. You could see Red Book animals every day. Their aviary is located on the central alley.
