Agricultural machinery: course for renewal

26 March 2024

By the start of the new season the agrotechnological holding Bizon expanded its line of agricultural equipment. Tractors in a wide power range, wide-cut cultivators, spring and disc harrows, grain and row-crop seeders, self-propelled and trailed sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, telescopic loaders, navigation equipment… Equipment aimed at performing work in a short agrotechnical time frame and with optimal resource consumption was presented at the exhibition Interagromash 2024 in Rostov-on-Don.

Agricultural machinery: course for renewal

Farmers of the Rostov region have large-scale spring field work ahead, during which they will have to sow about 2 million hectares with spring crops. More than 28 thousand tractors, about 17 thousand seeders and 19 thousand cultivators will be used. The solution to the problem can be helped by the constant updating of the technical fleet with high-performance machines that can replace outdated equipment and provide greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The main emphasis on the exhibition site is on tractors with power from 90 to 250 НР. In particular, representatives of the Lovol model range and the Bryansk Tractor Plant operate in this range. General-purpose wheeled tractors are distinguished by high traction characteristics and are capable of carrying out energy-intensive agricultural operations such as cultivating medium and heavy soils, sealing moisture, disking, sowing, harvesting, and forage procurement. The machines have a robust design and are equipped with unpretentious engines.

For the first time at the exhibition site, the Lynx pneumatic disc seeder produced by the Altai Machine-Building Plants «Almaz» was presented. The equipment is designed for precise sowing of row crops with the simultaneous application of mineral fertilizers. As standard, discs for corn and sunflower are installed. The seeder with a productivity of up to 5 ha/hour maintains the specified depth even on uneven areas. A coulter pressure of 180 kilograms is sufficient for traditional and minimal technologies. Compatible with tractors with power from 80 HP. You can also use the Agromaster Planter 8D complex for sowing row crops.

When meeting with the self-propelled sprayer Stara Imperador 4000, many people first measure its two-meter ground clearance. The machine has a central frame with independent lifting of the left and right parts of the boom. Stability on difficult terrain is ensured by a pendulum suspension of a parallelogram design, which dampens 75% of vertical and 30% of longitudinal vibrations. The tank holds up to 4000 liters of working fluid. The cruise control mode allows you to set the required speed up to 35 km/h. As an alternative to a self-propelled sprayer, a trailed model, «Gvarta 5," has been proposed.

Another new product is the Gomselmash GH800 grain harvester with a hybrid threshing and separation system. The combination of a classic and rotary MSU is designed to increase throughput and ensure high-quality threshing even on clogged fields. The combine is equipped with a 450 hp diesel engine. The fuel tank capacity is 800 liters. The grain tank volume is 9.5 cubic meters, and the unloading speed is 90 l/sec. The wide range of used headers makes this machine universal. The Gomel combine harvester GS12A1, which has already proven itself well in our fields, also attracted attention.

On the opening day of the exhibition, the stands of the agrotechnological holding Bizon were visited by a delegation of the Government of the Rostov region, headed by Governor Vasilyi Golubev. Today the region is one of the leaders in Russia in terms of the number of purchased agricultural machinery. Last year alone, Don farmers bought about one and a half thousand tractors and combines, as well as almost 3 thousand units of other agricultural equipment. This made it possible to reduce the load on 1 tractor to 273 hectares, and on 1 combine to 285 hectares, which is 30% better than the Russian average. And yet the need for new agricultural machinery still remains high. After all, updating the technical fleet allows you not only to replace machines that have exhausted their service life, but also to take a technological step forward, and with it speed up the pace of field work, reduce production costs and increase the profitability of agribusiness.
