In conditions of rising prices for seeds, fertilizers and fuel, the system of precision farming became very popular among farmers. The introduction of new technologies allows them to significantly reduce costs and improve the profitability of agricultural production. Participants in the demonstration show in Krasnodar region were able to verify the effectiveness of modern navigation equipment.

The farm of Sergey Kiriyanenko is one of the most successful agricultural enterprises in the Timoshevskyi district. Wheat, sunflower, corn, sugar beet are grown on an area of 3,000 hectares. To get the maximum profit from each square meter of the field, the head decided to introduce a system of precision farming in the economy. The aim of the experiment is a point effect on the productivity of crops, optimization of plant nutrition and equalization of their yield in different parts of the field.

In 2017, the specialists of the company Bizon installed in the farm base station RTK AgLeader, which allows working with accuracy up to 2 cm, thrusters and autopilots on tractors. All equipment was equipped with a telemetry and fuel control system. Navigation equipment was used for sowing, cultivation, fertilization and chemical protection of plants.

— When we started testing this project, the difference became obvious, — Sergey Kiriyanenko said. — The time of work was reduced by 30–40%. Savings of seeds amounted to 10%, plant protection products-6%, fertilizers-5.5% fuel-15%. Our costs for the implementation of the system paid off in one season.

Agrarians from all over the region came to study the experience of the successful application of the system of precision farming in the Kiriyanenko farm. During field demonstrations, they were asked to see the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Tractors with autopilots without the participation of machine operators produced sowing and tillage. The technique clearly withstood the butt distance with a row spacing of 45 cm even on difficult reliefs, which was confirmed by special measurements.

The work of machines made a great impression on farmers. Many of them, following the example of the farmer Kiriyanenko, have already applied to Bizon for the implementation of the turnkey project.
